| Summary: | Just before his death Cardinal Fr. Yves Congar could publish his last book "Église et Papauté”. In a certain sense this collection of contributions gives an idea of his work as theologian and historian. The presentation serves here to commemorate the existence and the significance of all Congar gave to the life of the Church, in a special way by his cooperation to the Second Vatican Council and to a catholic ecumenism, and also to theological and historical research in continuation of a long tradition. The ecclesiology was the great theme leading from history to the actually given difficulties of christianity in the world. In this sense the book encourages Church and Theology. |
