Spezielle Verwendung findet konjunktionales ʿȧšr in Spr und Koh zur Einführung von Thesen, Aufzählungen, Erklärungen und Ergebnissen. In der Spätprosa von Est, Dan, Esr, Neh, 1.2Chr übernimmt ʿȧšr zusätzlich die Funktion eines Zitatmarkers bei Gesetzen, Dokumenten und Eiden und leitet indirekte Reden ein.

There ʿȧšr also is often used to introduce syntagmatic clauses and subordinate clauses in polyvalent semantics. Additionally in Proverbs and Ecclesiastes ʿȧšr introduces statments, lists and results. Especially in the late prose of Esth, Dan, Esra, Neh, 1.2Chr ʿȧšr marks indirect speech and quotations of laws, documents and oaths.
