This article on globalization contributes to the ongoing discussion about how to humanize globalization, calling for a replacement of the mechanistic philosophical backdrop of the current conception of human beings in economic terms as Homo economicus, in the economic growth–based globalization. The new proposal draws on the philosophy of personal relations, which is at the heart of John Macmurray’s philosophy.
