Summary: | After a brief discussion of terms claiming the poor in the psalms this article focuses the way of Gods care for the poor and needy in the entire Psalter. There are very different qualities in the 1st – 3rd, the 4th and the 5th book. The 5th book and the final Hallel are picked up for suggested diachronic locations of Gods care for the poor and needy within the post-exilic Period. Different lines and progressions are pointed out. |
