| Résumé: | In late December 1980, Kano was rocked by major religious disturbances, at the center of which was a peculiar sect, known popularly as the 'Yan Tatsine. The paper is an interpretation of the 'Yan Tatsine phenomen - the most peculiar and original facets of the movement itself, and of the events associated with the disturbances.
