Description
Summary:This case study of interactions between leaders and followers of Taiwan's Religion of the Yellow Emperor (Xuanyuanjiao) characterizes these interactions as "elite versus popular". Speaking only with regard to the modern Chinese context, the article investigates several aspects of the potentially broad significance of the case studied.
