Description
Summary:This is a great work! The first I found concretely dealing with Gen. 2:24 and all its manifold ramifications. It`s a thorough study of the Old Testament connections of this Eden text, proceeding to the New Testament echoes of Jesus and Paul, supplemented by ancient Jewish perceptions. I appreciate the new insights I gained into texts that I was studying for a long time. The last chapter is the best of all, contributing precious answers to practical problems of the pastoral everyday life that I am frequently encountering in my own pastoral ministry with young adults (marriage, concubinage, responsibility of sexuality) and more mature church members (divorce, remarriage). The underlying idea and corresponding profound investigation of marriage as an exemplary pattern for the human-divine relationship between the believer and Christ is a perfect framework for such far-reaching questions and adequate answers. I agree with the reviewer on the back of this book and say: "I highly recommend this book!"
