Ausgangspunkt ist der Körper, von dem aus zehn zentrale Themenkomplexe gegenwärtiger Anthropologie untersucht werden wie Sinnlichkeit, Ästhetik, Geschlechterverhältnis, Raum und Zeit oder kulturelles Lernen. Abschließend werden drei Querschnittsthemen behandelt wie die Rolle der Interdisziplinarität, die Frage nach dem Charakter anthropologischen Wissens und die methodischen Orientierungen anthropologischer Forschung.
