After presenting a brief contextualization and a chronological synthesis of the establishment of the Jesuit Colleges in Portugal, this study approaches the institution of the Gouveia College, the last being created in the old Portuguese Province, referring to the setbacks that its founders were confronted with until the beginning of its construction. |
