Après un bref status quaestionis, cet article met en évidence une structure chiastique restée jusqu’à présent inaperçue (A = 3.1-5; B = 4.1-3; C = 4.4-8; B’ = 4.9-14; A’ = 4.15-21). Il apparaît, en outre, que cet arrangement fait écho à une structure qui a déjà été proposée pour les chapitres 1 et 2. Ce résultat confirme ce que différents chercheurs ont déjà pressenti, à savoir l’existence d’une forme de symétrie entre les deux moitiés du livre, mais il démontre aussi que cette structuration est liée à l’élaboration de contrastes entre le destin de Juda et celui des nations. | ||
| 520 | |a In the current research on the Book of Joel, there is no agreement with regard to the literary structure of chapters 3-4 (or 2.28-3.21 in most English translations); some scholars even regard them as a series of short oracles assembled with no definite order. In this article, after a brief status quaestionis, a previously unnoticed chiastic structure is pointed out (A = 3.1-5 [ET 2.28-32]; B = 4[3].1-3; C = 4[3].4-8; B’ = 4[3].9-14; A’ = 4[3].15-21). Moreover, this arrangement echoes another structure which has previously been proposed for chapters 1-2 (ET 1.1-2.27). This result confirms what has already been sensed by different scholars, namely the existence of a mirroring symmetry between the two halves of the book, but it also demonstrates that this structuring is linked to the elaboration of several contrasts between the fate of Judah and that of the nations. | ||
