Face à un phénomène d'addiction collective (consumérisme, égoïsme, conditionnements mentaux ), il convient de former aux habitudes vertueuses qui nous aideront à affronter le défi écologique, en s'appuyant notamment sur les ressources symboliques et spirituelles des communautés croyantes. Parmi ces vertus sociales, la vertu théologale de l'espérance reçoit une attention particulière. Les pauvres peuvent nous l'enseigner et elle peut rejoindre l'attente de tout homme., The ecological conversion to which Pope Francis invites us needs to be thought about from a theological perspective, examining the paths of human freedom and divine grace. One fruitful approach consists in underlining the importance of virtue ethics in the encyclical Laudato si'. In the face of a phenomenon of collective addiction (consumerism, egoism, mental conditioning ), we would do well to train ourselves in virtuous habits that will help us to confront the ecological challenge, relying particularly on the symbolic and spiritual resources of communities of faith. Among these social virtues, the theological virtue of hope deserves special attention. The poor can teach us, such that this virtue can satisfy the longing of every person. | ||
