La prise en compte de ce dispositif énonciatif dans le paratexte et dans le récit permet d'examiner la nature du plaisir de la nouvelle narration bretonne que les œuvres font affleurer, autrement dit d'identifier la conception que se fait Sala des attraits de ses deux compositions pour un public des années 1520. | ||

Although the author does not exploit the concept of taste to theorise the novel, he is conscious of the importance of narratorial interventions. A je indeed interferes in a recurring way in the telling of Yvain's adventures as well as those of Tristan and Lancelot. An awareness of this enunciative device, present both in the paratext and in the narrative, allows us to examine the nature of the pleasure brought by these new Breton narratives by identifying how Sala conceived of the attraction of his two compositions for a 1520s audience. | ||
