Ces dernières décennies, une nouvelle prise en compte de la toute-puissance de Dieu et de la liberté humaine a conduit au rejet de l'ancienne conception : la providence s'exerce dans une histoire ouverte, dont Dieu a pris le risque. L'évaluation des enjeux, des critères d'appréciation et de la pertinence de cette évolution se prolonge par l'exposé des éléments fondamentaux d'une théologie du Christ comme manifestation, bénéficiaire et fin de la providence et par l'examen de ses conséquences pour la prière de demande, l'abandon à la providence et notre participation à celle-ci par la charité., Providence was long been held to be the infallible implementation of a plan set out since all eternity. In recent decades, a new appraisal of the omnipotence of God and of human liberty have led to rejection of the older conception: Providence acts in an open history which God takes the risk for. Assessment of the issues involved, the criteria for appraisal and the pertinence of this development continue in proposals for the fundamental elements of a theology of Christ as manifestation, beneficiary and end of Providence and as examination of its consequences for prayer of request, abandoning oneself to Providence and our participation in it through charity. | ||
