Résumé: | The article presents the author's views on his study on LGBT youth suicides in the Mormon community in the U.S. after the release of a handbook policy change categorizing same-sex married couples as apostates and banning baptism to children of same-sex couples in November 2015. The study reportedly revealed lack of indirect and anecdotal evidence linking Mormon environment to the increase in LGBT suicides. Also discussed are the factors that contribute to suicides and preventive measures. |
