Ihr steht nicht nur die literarhistorische Stratigraphie der Genesis entgegen, welche die Josephsgeschichte unter anderem als vorpriesterliche Komposition ausweist. Vielmehr gibt die Erzählung selbst näher besehen keine signifikanten Bezüge zu einer Diasporasituation zu erkennen, wie auch ein Vergleich mit der aus ägyptischer Perspektive gleichermaßen im Ausland spielenden Sinuhe-Erzählung bestätigt, mit der die Josephsgeschichte deutliche Parallelen verbinden. Stratigraphie sowie Plot und (insbesondere) Pragmatik erweisen die Josephsgeschichte demgegenüber als Nordreichsüberlieferung, als eine meisterhafte Erzählung, die im 8. Jahrhundert v.Chr., am ehesten unter JerobeamII., entstanden ist. | ||
| 520 | |a In current biblical research, there is a discernable tendency to date the Joseph Story into the post-exilic period and to interpret it as a reaction to the Diaspora experience. The paper shows that this assertion is untenable. It contradicts the literary historical stratigraphy in the book of Genesis, which proves inter alia that the Joseph Story is a pre-priestly composition. Moreover, the narrative itself does not contain any significant references to a Diaspora situation. A comparison with the Sinuhe Story to which the Joseph Story shows notable parallels and which, from an Egyptian perspective, is also set abroad, provides further confirmation. Stratigraphy, plot, and (especially) pragmatics point to a North-Israelite origin of the Joseph Story. It is a masterpiece created in the 8th century BCE, most likely in the time of JeroboamII. | ||
| 520 | |a Dans la recherche exégétique récente, on a tendance à dater l’histoire de Joseph après l’exil babylonien et à l’interpréter comme une réaction à l’expérience vécue dans la diaspora. Le présent article montre que cette thèse s’avère insoutenable. Elle se voit contredite d’une part par l’évolution historique du texte de la Genèse, car l’histoire de Joseph y a été insérée entre autres avant le document sacerdotal (»P«). D’autre part, l’histoire de Joseph elle-même ne contient aucune référence significative à une situation de diaspora, comme le confirme une comparaison avec le conte de Sinouhé, qui se déroule également à l’étranger d’un point de vue égyptien, et qui est lié à l’histoire de Joseph par des parallèles clairs. La position de l’histoire de Joseph dans l’évolution historique du texte de la Genèse, son intrigue et surtout sa pragmatique indiquent que cette œuvre magistrale est originaire du royaume du Nord d’Israël et qu’elle a été rédigée au 8e siècle av. J.-C., probablement à l’époque de JéroboamII. | ||
