Plädiert wird dafür, sowohl die berufliche Praxis wie auch die Ausbildungzentral von einer theologisch-bildungstheoretischen Perspektive aus in den Blick zu nehmen. Denn erst vor diesem Horizont kann die öffentliche Bedeutung des Pfarramts im Kontext der gegenwärtigen pluralen Welt- und Gesellschaftsverhältnisse sowie ihre promissionale Deutungsaufgabe angemessen bestimmt und reflektiert werden. | ||
| 520 | |a Everyone who aims at becoming a pastor today, is faced with complex outside demands and expectations that are attached to this office. In addition, the current discussion regarding competence and skills heightens the sense that this work demands from a person more than ever before. This article argues that there needs to be an intense theological reflection about both the essence of the pastoral office and the work performed by a pastor and the actual content on which the pastoral profession is based. The author suggests that both the work of the pastor itself as well as the education needs to be based on a theological perspective that takes the theories of professional education seriously. Onlythen, the public importance of the pastoral profession in the context of plurality can be identified andreflected. Only then, the candidate for pastoral office can be made aware of the divine promise attached to this office and to the deep knowledge that, at the end, he or she is led by a godly power and higher meaning. | ||
