Para esto intentaré analizar la actitud pastoral que acompañó a Agustín en su combate contra el Donatismo, llegando a la conclusión de que, a pesar de vacilaciones y evoluciones de su pensamiento en torno al conflicto donatista, el Hiponense siempre mantuvo la predisposición al intercambio ecuménico y conservó el principio diálogico que estructura toda su obra. | ||
| 520 | |a In this essay, I would like to focus not so much on the Donatist Controversy per se but to highlight the openness and willingness to dialogue with which Augustine of Hippo faced this schism that affected the North African Church for more than a century. To accomplish this, I will analyze the pastoral behavior that Augustine embraced while fighting against Donatism. My conclusion will be that, although his thoughts about the Donatist conflict have evolved and changed, the Bishop of Hippo always remained predisposed to maintain an ecumenical exchange and kept the dialogical principle that holds together his entire works. | ||
