AB This article considers the links between development programs and policies set up by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the actions and positions of Christian missions. It aims at understanding how and why the ILO and missions got in touch in the mid-1920s. Then it examines how these relations strengthened up to the beginning of the 1970s, at first for the elaboration of international labour standards, and later as part of technical assistance programs.
