Ließen sich bisher beide Perspektiven problemlos zu einem harmonischen Weltbild zusammenfügen, besteht das Dilemma des modernen Menschen darin, dass ihm die Wirklichkeit in ein heillos zersplittertes einzelwissenschaftliches Wissen auseinander gefallen ist. Trotzdem fragt der Mensch als denkendes Wesen nach dem Sinn des Ganzen. Er will nicht nur wissen, wie die Dinge funktionieren, sondern was sie bedeuten. Der Beitrag zeigt an drei Themenfeldern, wie unter diesen aktuellen Bedingungen der Wissensaustausch zwischen Naturwissenschaft und Theologie funktioniert. In der Frage nach der Existenz des Universums ergänzen sich Naturwissenschaft und Theologie komplementär. In der Problematik von Evolutionstheorie und Schöpfung treffen sie antagonistisch aufeinander. In der neu in Blick gekommenen Möglichkeit des Multiversums beflügeln sie sich gegenseitig, zersprengen aber die gewohnten Begriffe von Sinn, Geschichte und Menschsein. Gefordert ist ein neuer Typus systematischen Verstehens von Natur und Leben, dessen anfängliche Konturen sich abzuzeichnen beginnen. | ||
| 520 | |a Science and theology are two systems of understanding reality that deeply affect our way of life. In the past both perspectives have been joined together forming a more or less harmonious picture of the world. The dilemma of modern man is that this synthesis has fallen apart into a plurality of fragmented and unconnected ways of understanding, scientific and otherwise. Nevertheless, we still ask for the meaning of the whole. We not only want to know how things work, but what they mean. In this article it will be shown in three thematic areas how the exchange of knowledge between science and theology can work under current conditions. With regard to the existence and origin of the universe, science and theology complement each other. Regarding the conflict between evolution and creation, they meet antagonistically. In view of the recently discussed idea of a multiverse, they inspire each other and shatter the usual concepts of meaning, history and humanity. What is required is a new type of systematic understanding of nature and life, whose initial contours are beginning to emerge. | ||
| 520 | |a La science et la théologie sont deux systèmes de compréhension de la réalité qui affectent profondément notre mode de vie. Dans le passé, ces deux perspectives ont été réunies, formant une image du monde plus ou moins harmonieuse. Le dilemme de l’homme moderne est que cette synthèse s’est brisée en une pluralité de manières de comprendre, scientifiques et autres, fragmentées et sans lien entre elles. Toutefois, la quête du sens de la totalité demeure. Nous ne voulons pas seulement savoir comment fonctionnent les choses mais ce qu’elles signifient. Cet article montrera, selon trois thématiques, comment, dans les conditions actuelles, l’échange de connaissance entre la science et la théologie peut opérer. En ce qui concerne l’existence et l’origine de l’univers, la science et la théologie sont complémentaires. Pour ce qui est du conflit entre l’évolution et la création, elles se rencontrent de façon antagoniste. Compte tenu de l’idée, récemment discutée, d’un multivers, elles s’éclairent mutuellement et bouleversent les concepts habituels de sens, d’histoire et d’humanité. Ce qui est requis, c’est un nouveau type de compréhension systématique de la nature et de la vie, dont les contours commencent à émerger. | ||
