Mithilfe des Konzepts der Kontextualisierung wird die Beantwortung der Frage vor dem Hintergrund der Tatsache verfolgt und reflektiert, dass die Perser in den Texten kaum vorkommen. Kommunikationspragmatisch wird deutlich, dass die Texte alle Aussagen über Kyrosʼ militärische und politische Erfolge in den Diskurs um JHWHs Macht über Schöpfung und Geschichte einbetten und damit die Figur des Kyros zugleich »groß machen und klein halten«. In Auseinandersetzung mit dem historischen Kontext weisen die Dtjes-Texte die Entwicklung eigener theologischer Konzepte in Auseinandersetzung mit den Persern auf, was am Vergleich von Kyroszylinder und -orakel (Jes 45,1–7) exemplarisch deutlich wird. | ||
| 520 | |a Abstract: The article poses the question, in what ways the Persians appear in Isa 40–48. In search of answers to this question, a combination of linguistic pragmatics and literary history is applied. The concept of »framing« (»contextualization«) is employed to evaluate these answers considering the fact, that the Persians are hardly named in the book of Isaiah. The pragmatic approach shows that all statements about Cyrus’ military and political success are embedded in the rhetorical efforts to proof YHWH’s power over creation and history. This leads to a strategy of upholding Cyrus and playing him down at the same time. The discussion of the texts in the historical context of their formation brings to light the development of independent theological concepts in dealing with the Persians, which is exemplified in the comparison of the Cyrus-cylinder and the Cyrus-oracle (Isa 45,1–7). | ||
| 520 | |a Résumé: L’article pose la question de savoir de quelles manières les Perses apparaissent en Es 40–48. Pour répondre à cette question, l’auteur combine approche linguistique (communication pragmatique) et histoire littéraire. Le concept de la »contextualisation« est utilisé pour évaluer les réponses apportées, en considérant le fait que les Perses sont à peine nommés dans les textes traités. L’approche linguistique fait ressortir que toutes les affirmations sur les succès militaires et politiques de Cyrus sont insérées dans des discours qui ont pour but de prouver le pouvoir de YHWH sur la création et l’histoire. Cela a pour conséquence à la fois de valoriser et d’amoindrir Cyrus. L’analyse des textes sur le fond du contexte historique de leur formation montre que les textes d’Esaïe ont développé des concepts théologiques propres en débat avec les Perses, ce qui devient clairement visible à travers l’exemple de la comparaison du cylindre de Cyrus et de l’oracle adressé à ce dernier (Es 45,1–7). | ||
