In a second step, the findings are discussed with regard to the rich history of apocalyptic thought on empires from late ancient times until today. The conclusion brings together some theoretical considerations how the relationship between the innovative potential of apocalyptic adventism and the preservative orientation of a given institutional order can be conceptualized in terms of a sociology of religion. | ||
