Description
Summary:Constantine's address delivered at the council of Nicaea according to the erroneously so-called Gelasius of Cyzicus cannot be authentic. This is confirmed by its use of accentual prose rhythm. The author of the fictitious speech, or rather sermon, could be the Constantinopolitan priest Philippus of Side, whose "Christian History" seems to be one of the minor sources of Gelasius of Cyzicus, and may be of Socrates too.
