AB Die KSZE-Politik der Bundesrepublik nach dem Helsinki-Gipfel wurde von den Folgetreffen in Belgrad (1977/78) und Madrid (1980-1983) sowie weiteren Expertentagungen bestimmt. Die Studie zeigt die Bedeutung auf, die der KSZE-Prozess für Bonn in einem sich verschlechternden internationalen Umfeld als Instrument der Krisensteuerung besaß, um die Ost-West-Détente zu bewahren und den Eisernen Vorhang durchlässiger zu machen.
AB This volume makes accessible for the first time 357 documents that focus on efforts to resume American-Soviet arms control negotiations against the backdrop of the stationing Pershing II rockets in Europe and American SDI planning. Additional themes include the opening of the CDE talks in Stockholm, the possible involvement of German firms in Iraqi production of poison gas, and assistance for refugees from East Germany.
