Es mag sein, dass es die mächtigen Mitglieder der Kirche waren, die in den Götzentempeln aßen und ihre Verbindungen zu mächtigeren Patronen schwerlich aufgeben wollten. C. beleuchtet die Interaktion des Paulus mit der christlichen Gemeinde in Korinth wie sie sich im 1. Korintherbrief widerspiegelt im Lichte der Konvention der Patronage im Korinth des ersten Jh. als eine der bedeutsamen wirksamen Beziehungsstrukturen. Es war ein Anliegen des Paulus, die horizontalen Beziehungen der Kirche zu stärken - in den damit verbundenen Weisungen verbergen sich gleichzeitig subversive Implikationen für vertikale Patron-Klient-Verbindungen.  |8 0
