Im Mittelpunkt dieses Buches steht der Versuch, aus biblischen Texten und theologischen Überlegungen in der weltweiten Ökumene Orientierungspunkte für das kirchliche Handeln zur Überwindung von Elend und Unrecht zu gewinnen. "Botschaft der Hoffnung" stellt den kirchlichen Entwicklungsdienst in den Horizont der biblischen Hoffnungsgeschichte und arbeitet damit das besondere Ethos des kirchlichen Engagements heraus.
