Dictionary Search

The Index Theologicus (IxTheo) offers you various options to perform searches in dictionaries and encyclopedias. IxTheo offers a free and direct access to articles from dictionaries wherever possible.

Many entries from various dictionaries are searchable in IxTheo. If you want to restrict your search to dictionary entries, you can select the corresponding option in the facet “Format” on the right-hand side of the list of search results.

Several important theological dictionaries and encyclopedias are searchable in their entirety and integrated in the IxTheo full-text search. A text snippet shows the context in which the search term appears. Many dictionaries with over 82,000 entries can be searched in this way.
