678 |b John Thomas Scott holds a PhD in history from college of William and Mary in early American History. Scott has been at Mercer University in Georgia since 1991 and is currently a Professor of History, teaching courses such as The Historian’s Craft and Intellectual History of America. Scott has been the Director of Honors Program at Mercer University since 2011. CUR Councilor in Arts and Humanities Division for last four years. Mercer’s Honors Program works to foster a sense of academic community among faculty members and students of outstanding ability through cultural events, sponsored activities, and a four-year course of study that culminates in a project. The program emphasizes research, service learning, and personal development. His research interests are Faith and The Academia, Trustee Georgia and early American Religion.
