Since 2006, he and Mariam Shahin have produced over twenty-five films for the satellite news channel Al Jazeera. These include the award-winning Gaza Fixer and Two Schools in Nablus. Azar is also author of Palestine: A Photographic Journey (1991) and co-author of Palestine: A Guide (2006).
