His work on· the Islamization of sacred space in Iran recently appeared in an edited volume, "Islamisation: Comparative Perspectives from History" (2017). He is also the author of a chapter on ethnic and religious minorities in "The Cambridge Companion to Modern Arab Culture" (2015).
