Her current project with Secor analyzes the renewed role of religion in the public sphere of Turkey (also funded by the NSF). She has contributed articles to a number of scholarly journals and chapters to several edited books and coedited a special issue of the “Journal of Middle East Women’s Studies” on Muslim women, consumer capitalism, and the Islamic culture industry.
