She collaborated with Anna Secor on a project funded by the National Science Foundation that examines the production and consumption of veiling fashion. Her current project with Secor analyzes the renewed role of religion in the public sphere of Turkey (also funded by the NSF). She has contributed articles to a number of scholarly journals and chapters to several edited books and coedited a special issue of the “Journal of Middle East Women’s Studies” on Muslim women, consumer capitalism, and the Islamic culture industry. | ||
