| 678 | |b Trotz der Teilung Deutschlands blieb die EKD zunächst als Zusammenschluss der evangelischen Landeskirchen beider deutschen Staaten bestehen. Spätestens seit dem Mauerbau 1961 führte dies zu großen organisatorischen Problemen, so dass die EKD ihre gemeinsamen Aufgaben in beiden deutschen Staaten nicht mehr aufrechterhalten konnte. Auch die Probleme der alltäglichen kirchlichen Tätigkeit unterschieden sich zunehmend. So wurde 1969 der Bund der Evangelischen Kirchen in der DDR als Zusammenschluss der acht Landeskirchen auf dem Gebiet der DDR gegründet. Nach der Wiedervereinigung beider deutscher Staaten 1990/91 vereinigte sich der Bund der Evangelischen Kirchen in der DDR am 24.02.1991 wieder mit der EKD. | ||
